These posts are based at either our Llanystumdwy, Shrewsbury or Chester depots. We are looking for CPC qualified Class C HGV drivers to deliver our range of foodservice products to our customers.

Working approximately 40-45 hours per week (slightly more at peak times of the year), these will be permanent positions with the successful applicants working an average of 5 days per week to include Saturdays and early starts. Experience in multi-drop operations would be desirable as would knowledge of the area.

In return you will receive: a salary in the region of £21,500 P/A, enrolment in to pension scheme, mobile phone allowance and on-going job training (including Drivers CPC).

REACH TRUCK OPERATIVES (Llanystumdwy Warehouse)

Harlech Foodservice Ltd is looking to recruit warehouse operatives to work on their day shift at their main site in Llanystumdwy. Applicants must hold valid reach fork lift truck licence and will have had experience of working within a similar foodservice /  warehouse environment. However, it is essential that the successful applicants can work both independently and within a team prioritising workload with minimal guidance and instruction.

You will be required to carry out a number of warehouse duties throughout the shift as instructed by your supervisor / line manager.

Main duties - successful applicants will be required to carry out all aspects of warehouse duties, handling and replenishment of stock and ensuring stock is not damaged whilst maintaining high levels of housekeeping within their department / on site.

You will be required to work between 07.00am - 7.00pm, 5-6 days per week, exact rota to be confirmed by your line manager. Working on average 42.5 hours per week including a weekend rota these will be full time permanent positions. Salary / rate of pay to be discussed at interview stage.

BUTCHER (skilled / semi-skilled)

As part of the Harlech Foodservice Group, Bwydlyn butchery are seeking to expand their team and are looking to recruit butchers or individuals with demonstrable meat cutting experience to work within their wholesale butchery production premises at Parc Amaeth Llanystumdwy.

We are looking for enthusiastic and keen individuals to expand some of the skilled and semi-skilled butchery roles.

We are seeking applicants who have worked within the butchery industry or have cut meat regularly as part of a kitchen role. We are looking for individuals who can prepare standard cuts of meat for customer / company specifications whilst also maximising yield and minimising waste. Training is available for those with basic knowledge but need additional mentoring to achieve a fully trained status.

The role requires attention to detail in terms of hygiene and food process methods. General housekeeping and the importance of maintaining clean work areas is also essential as well is the importance of working towards Health & Safety standards.

The successful applicants must be willing to work weekends and work within a team rota system.

Applicants must have the flexibility to work additional hours as required to meet customer and seasonal demands.

at Bwydlyn Butchery, Llanystumdwy

Due to restructuring within the department, we have an exciting opportunity for a full time

Butchery General Manager to lead, empower and add flexibility to the team at our site in Llanystumdwy.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the site team -

providing leadership and direction for all areas of the wholesale butchery and production department.

The key requirements of this role include: -

1. Ability to lead and motivate the team (circa 30 employees).

2. Proven ability in developing short to medium term continuous performance improvement strategies, production

planning, covering efficiency and quality across the full operations function.

3. Must be able to demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen as you will be responsible for the margin and profit within

the butchery, ensuring yields are met, waste is controlled and managing all cost/sell prices whilst ensuring they are up to date

on our operating systems.

4.Take responsibility for all quality systems and traceability of all products.

5. Ability to influence effectively at site management level.

6. Experience and knowledge of the fresh meat industry or similar food environment would be advantageous.

7. Ability to maintain employee engagement, identify training needs and lead performance management.

8. Ability to integrate (and fulfil) Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the area of responsibility.

9. Liaise with management and staff regarding orders and customer requirements.

10. Good written and verbal communication skills.

11. Analytical and numerical capability.

12. Food production experience is required

We are looking for a highly creative person to join our marketing team to assist with the updating, maintenance and development of our online marketing products.

Main duties will include maintaining company websites and social media platforms, preparing and sending out eshots as well as other marketing support tasks.

The ideal candidate will have previously undertaken a similar post or will possess the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out the role to its full capacity.

A self motivated individual with good interpersonal skills who can work on their own with little guidance, although full support from the Marketing department will be given.

This can be a flexible role, offering 30 hours per week (Monday-Friday). Hourly rate above NLW (over 25's) or NMW (under 25's).
